Founder/President/CEO
Robert Hower, Ph.D
Since receiving his Ph.D from the University of Michigan, Dr. Hower has led multiple startup companies, focused his talents on developing new fabrication techniques for MEMS and biomedical devices for over 30 years. He utilizes these skills to develop new low cost and complex fabrication techniques, whether it is prototype development, or to introduce new functionality, and to produce a wide range of products. Adaptability to the ever changing market and desires of researchers will constantly require new ideas and products.

Director of Microfabrication
Jim Ricker
Jim Ricker brings over 25 years of microfabrication experience, including process development, research on new materials and technologies, and scaling processes to high-volume production. He taught at the University of Michigan's Integrated Microsystems Lab for 8 years, guiding students in designing and manufacturing novel microsystems. Jim enjoys collaborating with both new and experienced customers, along with the Numed team, to create innovative devices and processes. He believes Numed’s expertise is crucial for anticipating issues and providing solutions that prevent costly delays and resolve problems in a sustainable and efficient manner.

Research Engineer
Baran Demir, Ph.D
Dr. Demir holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, with a specialized focus on wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconductors. He has extensive experience in material growth and characterization, device fabrication and testing, and the development of fabrication equipment. Drawing on this expertise, he is adept at creating advanced processing techniques and designing prototypes for MEMS and semiconductor technologies. Passionate about solving complex fabrication and process design challenges, Dr. Demir is committed to advancing technology and delivering cutting-edge solutions.
